Stephanie Smith
Executive Director
Stephanie is the Practice Manager/Director of East Metro Animal Emergency Clinic. She graduated with her RVT degree in May of 2015. She has worked in the veterinary industry for 9 years ( 4 years in emergency). She was the president of SCNAVTA in her graduating class. She enjoys travelling and concerts. She is owned by three cats, Louigi, Tucker and Pickles and her three dogs Kwan (Labrador), Luna (Labrador) and Link (Italian Mastiff).
Dr. John Coulter, DVM
Dr. Coulter graduated for Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. He is currently Lt. Colonel  in the Veterinary Army Reserves and has served our country for 15 years. He has worked in emergency medicine for 10 years. He lives in South Carolina with his wife and enjoys travelling and history.
Dr. Leslie Lathem, DVM
Dr. Leslie Lathem graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. She has interests in emergency medicine, internal medicine and exotics. She enjoys traveling and volunteering for Georgia 4-H, Keep Covington Newton Beautiful, the Arts Association in Newton and the Distinguished Young Women of Georgia. She also serves on the Awards Committee for the University of Georgia College of Agriculture Alumni Association. She was a founding board member of the Humane Society Newton County & a member of Alpha Psi Veterinary Fraternity and Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity. Also a member of AVMA GVMA And Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society. She also enjoys mentoring students who want to become veterinarians. She lives in Covington with her husband, Jim, and her children Mary and Jake. She has two cats, Miss Kitty(original!) and Spooky & her dogs CiCi and Sadie.
Sarah Mitcham
Head Technician
Sarah has been in the veterinary industry for 10 years. She has worked emergency medicine for three of those years. She is owned by 7 cats (Merle, Foodie, Jackie, Baby Son, Boosah, Ham and Nasty) and her dog Tate. Her hobbies include video games and tattoos. She resides in Covington with her fiancee Charlie.
Heather Antillon
Veterinary Technician
Heather has been in the veterinary industry for over 15 years. She has two dogs, Walter and Wesley and three cats, Kohohamaru, Djinn and Princess Buttercup. She and her husband have two beautiful children. She enjoys reading scifi and fantasy fiction.
Adrienne Bullard
Veterinary Technician
Adrienne is originally from Queens, NY. She moved to Conyers, GA 12 years ago. She has been in the veterinary field for over 10 years. She has three dogs, Dixon, Blue and Rosie, and three cats, Mr. Pants, Mommy Cat and Friday. Animals are her first love, but so also loves to draw, paint, decorate cakes, and Daryl Dixon from "The Walking Dead." She also has two beautiful children, Ally and Christopher.
Hunter Campbell
Veterinary Technician
Hunter is owned by four Australian Shepherds, Anala, Azura, Kaiva and Kikyo. His hobbies include taking his dogs to the park, hiking and swimming. He also enjoys Pokemon and graphic design.
LaTisha Gordon
Veterinary Technician
LaTisha has been in the veterinary field for 13 years. She joined the EMAEC team November 2015. She shares her home in Covington with her husband Luke, two daughters, Alyssa and Danica, Skittles the guinea pig and a coop full of chickens. Her hobbies include: Tiding her Arabian, Fortune, watching "Once Upon a Time" and Running...Lots of running.
